About Michael Sherfick

Michael Sherfick is a man of many talents.  From his work as a business leader, inventor, and manufacturing innovator to his long and successful law enforcement career, Michael has enjoyed many successes in his life.  His vast life experiences and his unrelenting drive to achieve success have helped him to rise to the top of every field he has entered. Michael currently makes his home in the Indianapolis metro area, where he serves as the President and CEO of a leading laboratory equipment manufacturer as well as the CEO of a commercial property development company.

Michael was born in Indianapolis, Indiana.  In 1988, he received the call to serve his country. Michael in the United States Army and completed Basic at Ft. Bliss in El Paso Texas and AIT at Ft. Sam Houston.  During his service, he became known for his natural leadership abilities and the keen sense to develop solutions for complex problems. After separating from the service, he entered the law enforcement field.  His first employment in this field was with the Rocky Ripple Police Department, where he was a Deputy Town Marshal. In 1996, he was sworn in to Lawrence Township as a Deputy Constable under Constable Robert Bowser III.  After two years here, he joined the Boone County Sheriff’s Department, first as a deputy and quickly rising to the rank of Captain by 2005.  While he was with Boone County, he was also co-employed by the Perry Township Constable’s Office as a Major under Constable Roy Houchins.  Roy was honored to have him retired from law enforcement with the rank of Major from the Constables office.  Throughout his career, Michael put community-oriented policing at the top of his mission – he believed that the citizens of the areas he served deserved a police force they could trust and rely on when trouble came calling. Over his long law enforcement career, he developed special weapons and tactics skills and had the opportunity to train new employees as a Field Training Officer, sharing the wisdom he had accumulated during his time as a law enforcement professional of the highest order.

Not satisfied with retirement, Michael dove headlong into the business world.  His first venture came when he co-invented a revolutionary ratcheting securing system with his uncle, Doug Doty.  Their first product, called The Easy Strap, revolved around a patented soft loop technology.  The company he eventually established, Fast Track Technologies, holds several patents, which are licensed to other manufacturers in the tiedown industry.  Sales of the company’s products have skyrocketed, thanks to Michael’s ability to innovate and to guide the company toward profitability.

Michael is also a noted entrepreneur, founding several lucrative business ventures, including two investment firms.  The first, Securifind Mortgages and Investments, Inc., specialized in business loans and home mortgages.  The next, CCMT Financial, was a real estate investment and development company that partnered with other investors to develop condominium projects in the downtown core of Indianapolis.  Michael currently serves as President and CEO of 3% Holdings, a commercial real estate development company that focuses on commercial retail and manufacturing properties in the Indianapolis downtown area. His work has been instrumental in revitalizing the urban centers of the city and has met with great success in every project undertaken.

Fast Track Technologies was rolled into a company called Duratech Industrial Controls, a prominent laboratory equipment manufacturing firm Michael purchased. The company has many clients in the defense, agricultural, petroleum, and food-service industries and is known as an innovator in the technology behind tempering and automation in the Nuclear Magnetic Resonance market.  This technology is used to analyze and to monitor complex manufacturing processes, helping to optimize output while ensuring the highest standards of quality.
